McGregor confiesa los errores que cometió en su derrota ante Khabib: «El peor asalto de mi carrera»

El luchador irlandés de artes marciales mixtas Conor McGregor ha analizado la derrota sufrida ante el ruso Khabib Nurmagomédov en la velada del UFC 229, según rt.

«Desde el punto de vista deportivo, el primer asalto fue suyo [de Khabib]. Tenía una mejor posición junto a la valla», pero «desde el punto de vista de la pelea, la primera ronda fue mía», escribió McGregor este martes en su cuenta de Instagram, argumentando esa afirmación en que varios de sus golpes dieron en el blanco, mientras el rival «simplemente sujetaba mis piernas».

Pero el segundo asalto, ‘The Notorious’ lo describe como el «peor de mi carrera». Según el irlandés, Khabib inició el asalto «huyendo alrededor de la jaula» hasta que fue «bendecido con una mano derecha que cambió el curso» de la pelea. «Fue un bonito golpe», pero «si me quedo encendido y le doy un poco más de respeto, esa mano derecha nunca debería haberse acercado y estaríamos hablando completamente diferente ahora», agregó.

Ya en el cuarto asalto, McGregor admite que quedó en «una mala posición» ante los embates de Nurmagomédov, y que ahí cometió «un error crítico al abandonar» su gancho «en ese momento crucial, exponiendo la espalda», lo que fue aprovechado por el ruso para realizarle una guillotina (mata león) que le obligó a rendirse.

«Fue una gran pelea y fue un placer. Volveré con mi confianza alta, totalmente preparado. Si no es en la revancha de inmediato, no hay problema», finalizó ‘The Notorious’.

Thoughts on my last fight. Round 1. I believe from a sport standpoint, round 1 was his. Top position against the fence. Zero position advancement or damage inflicted. But top position.
